| Jiangsu is located in Yangtze River Delta, and the land size is 102,600km², with a population of nearly 80 million. This province is under the influence of monsoons with the warm-temperate/semi-humid and subtropical/humid zones. The seasons have clear-cut changes and the frequent “plum” rains are between spring and summer. Typhoon accompanied with rainstorms usually happen in late summer and early autumn. In addition, this province has occasional frost, dry and hot winds, and hailstorms. The average temperature ranges from -2°C to 4°C in January and 26°C to 29°C in July. The annual average rainfall is between 800 to 1,200 mm, wither higher precipitation in the southeast and lower in the northwest. Sixty percent of the rainfall is during the summer in the northeast. |
