Purple Mountain. Purple Mountain
contains a huge network of paths. There

paths converge and crisscross all the way
to the top of the mountain. Neither the
English nor Chinese maps encompass the entire
network of paths on Purple Mountain. Signs
along the paths on Purple Mountain are difficult
to decipher even for people fluent in Chinese.
Lianyungang
Huaguo Mountain. The name literally
means a mountain rich in flowers and fruits.
It is commonly known as the home of the
ancient Chinese legendary figure, the Monkey
King. He is one of the leading characters

Fuzimiao:
The Fuzimiao market and historic
district has drawn people to Nanjing for

neighbourhood's unique history.
Suzhou: Suzhou has always
had places to shop; from when it was a medieval
market town to the tourist Mecca of today,
visitors have always left Suzhou with a
few interesting new items in their bags.
Suzhou's shopping is concentrated in two
areas; Guanqian Jie in
the center of the city, and the area around
Shiquan Lu in the south. Shiquan
Lu is a center not only for shopping,
but also dining and nightlife. Located near
some of the city's most famous gardens and
hotels, its many small stores sell interesting
traditional products. There are many antique
shops, merchants selling silk, stores of
traditional style clothing, and art supplies.
